Background

Gønz is a glitch artist, experimental technologist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently based in Berlin. With 15 years of experience in visual art, his work bridges electronics, telecommunications, graphic design, web coding, and experimental robotics.

For the past 20 years, he has also been producing electronic music and playing with robotics and devices. Beyond personal exploration, he has taught music production and conducted workshops in Berlin, sharing his knowledge of sound design, synthesis, and digital audio manipulation.

As a digital nomad for eight years, he has exhibited and performed internationally in Tokyo, New York, Rome, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Chicago, São Paulo, and Berlin. His projects span digital art exhibitions, live performances, and experimental collaborations.

Living in Berlin has heightened his sensitivity to light and contrast, influencing his artistic process. After years in sunny places like Argentina, he became more aware of how light (or the lack of it) affects mood and perception. This interplay between light, shadow, and digital manipulation is a key element in his work.

Artistic Focus

Gønz’s art is a fusion of analog and digital techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries between control and chaos. His work spans:

  • Projection Mapping & Generative Art – Creating real-time visuals that interact with music, architecture, and the environment.
  • Glitch Art & Data Bending – Exploring the aesthetics of error, signal corruption, and digital decay.
  • AI & Computational Graphics – Experimenting with machine learning, procedural art, and real-time video synthesis.
  • Experimental Robotics & Physical Installations – Building kinetic sculptures and interactive systems that blend mechanics with digital visuals.
  • Mixed Media & Video Manipulation – Using scanned images, print screens, and analog video processors to create fragmented visual narratives.
  • Sound & Music Experiments – Integrating audio-reactive visuals and exploring the connection between glitch aesthetics and electronic soundscapes.

He enjoys playing with signals, electronics, and computational systems, crafting ecosystems where elements interact and influence each other. His work often deconstructs communication, perception, and time, inviting viewers to engage with the piece on their own terms.
